Police nab CMV driver for hauling 1000 pound bags of topsoil without any load securement

A truck driver was recently caught committing a serious load securement violation while traveling through Atlanta, Georgia.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS), an officer spotted a CMV traveling through Atlanta hauling 24 bags of topsoil weighing 1000 pounds each without any load securement.

“This kind of negligence could have caused a major disaster on the road!” Georgia DPS said.

Additionally, officials say that the driver admitted to not performing a pre-trip inspection prior to hitting the road.

“Friends, we can’t stress enough how crucial those pre-trip checks are for everyone’s safety! Let’s make it a golden rule – ALWAYS inspect your vehicle before hitting the road!” Georgia DPS said.
