Police searching for motorist accused of stabbing garbage truck driver with pen in road rage incident

Police in Sydney, Australia are searching for a motorist accused of stabbing a garbage truck driver in a road rage incident. 

The road rage incident occurred on Monday at around 3:25 p.m. on the border of Botany and Mascot in Sydney, Australia between General Holmes Drive and Botany Road. 

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the 49-year-old garbage truck driver was stabbed in the arm by a Kia driver, who then fled the scene. 

The victim was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, and two southbound lanes of Southern Cross Drive were closed for an investigation. 

The lanes have since been reopened and police are still searching for the motorist.
