A nearby motorist captured footage of a passenger train colliding with a car hauler in Florida on Friday evening.

The accident happened at 7 p.m. on July 14th in Lakeland, Florida near US 92 and Canal Avenue North.

According to WFLA News, a truck hauling cars failed to clear a railroad crossing and got stuck on the tracks. An oncoming train soon triggered the crossing arms, which hit the truck before it was struck by the train.

Eight people sustained minor injuries in the wreck, and the roadway was closed for about 10 hours. The incident cost between $6 and $10 million in damages.

The truck driver, Walberto Carrazana Bermudez, was cited for insufficient clearance at a railroad crossing.
