REPORT: Trucker reported missing found deceased under own semi at North Carolina truck stop

The body of a truck driver was discovered at a truck stop in Kenly, North Carolina, on Thursday morning, according to a local news outlet.

Police in Kenly were looking for a truck driver after he failed to contact his employer as scheduled, according to the Johnston County Report.

Around 10 a.m. on March 2, Kenly Police discovered the body of the truck driver underneath his truck in the rear lot at a Petro truck stop located off I-95.

Police found tools near the truck and believe that the driver was underneath the vehicle making repairs when the truck rolled on top of him.

The tractor and trailer were not connected when police arrived at the scene, according to the report.

Foul play is not suspected.

The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Kenly Police Department in the ongoing investigation.

The identity of the truck driver has not been released.
