Rig left hanging off bridge after motorist’s poor lane change

A semi truck was left hanging off of a bridge after a motorist’s lane change went very wrong in Texas on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened on August 9th in San Antonio, Texas on the Green Mountain Road bridge above Loop 1604.

According to KSAT News, a Honda sideswiped a Dodge Charger while changing lanes in the 700 block of NW Loop 410, sending the charger spinning into the path of an oncoming semi truck. The truck driver hit the brakes but was unable to avoid a collision and t-boned the Honda.

The tractor trailer then hit a traffic sign, which was then hit by the Honda and the Charger, and ended up with the cob of the truck hanging off of a bridge over Loop 1604.

No one was hurt in the wreck, but the straps on the semi truck’s load snapped in the wreck, sending pallets of bricks flying out of the trailer.

It is unclear if anyone will be charged in the wreck. No further information has been released.
