A town in North Carolina saw its second train and semi truck collision of the week on Wednesday evening.
The most recent accident occurred on Wednesday night, January 25th on Main Street in Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to WBTV 3, a train struck a semi truck on Main Street between Highway 74 and East Wilson Street, shutting down the roadways in the area. Following the collision, the train pushed the semi truck a quarter of a mile down the tracks before coming to a stop. A portion of the truck could be seen wrapped around the front of the train.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the wreck. The roadway was still closed as of Thursday morning.
A collision between a train and a semi truck near the same location at the Highway 74 entrance to Wingate University occurred just six days ago. No further information has been released.
