Two people are dead after a semi truck overturned on an Ohio interstate on Thursday morning.
The fatal accident happened on June 1st on Interstate 75 in Dayton, Ohio at around 4 a.m.
According to Dayton Police Lt. David Matthews, “the semi-truck apparently lost control and rolled off the highway into an embankment near the entrance ramp of Stanley [Avenue].”
Two people were extricated from the wrecked tanker truck. As of 10 a.m. WHIO7 reports that both people have been confirmed dead.
The wreck caused a fuel spill and damaged a highway sign. Drivers on I-75 northbound have been advised to go to Webster Street or Needmore Road before getting back onto the interstate.
The cause of the wreck has not been released.
