Six hurt in 5 vehicle crash involving two loaded daycare buses in Georgia

Police responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving daycare buses transporting children in Marietta, Georgia, on Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred on southbound I-75 at at S Marietta Parkway around 8:40 a.m. on June 27.

A total of five vehicles, including a semi truck and two daycare vans/buses were involved in the collision. A pickup and box truck were also involved in the crash.

Fox 5 reports that six people, including three children, were hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The crash resulted in heavy traffic backups on I-75 during the morning rush hour, but all lanes are now clear.
