Speeding, unlicensed teenager killed after crashing into semi truck

A 17-year-old is dead after crashing into the back of a semi truck in Louisiana on Monday night. 

The incident happened on January 16th in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana at around 9 p.m. 

According to The Acadiana Advocate, 17-year-old Jaquanta T. Jason was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry south on Interstate 49 near mile marker 22 when she rear ended a semi truck. Jason was killed in the crash. 

Investigation revealed that Jason was unlicensed, speeding, and not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck. 

A toxicology sample was collected from Jason for analysis. The incident is still under investigation.
