Police are investigating after a man who was clinging to a moving semi truck fell off and was fatally struck on Monday night in the San Antonio area.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on October 9 at I-35 South and Benton City Road.
According to Fox San Antonio, a suspected undocumented immigrant was concealed on the truck when the person lost their grip or somehow fell off the truck to the roadway below.
The person was run over by the truck.
The truck driver stopped and tried to render aid but the man died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The truck driver was interviewed by police. No charges have been filed.
Kens5 reports that there were two migrants hiding on the truck and that the person who survived fled into a black Mercedes in front of the semi truck.
