The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) recently invited a group of high school students to a weigh station to let them get up close and personal with trucks and learn about the importance of CMV inspections.
MSP said on December 15 that they invited students from Cloquet High School to the Saginaw weigh station “to crawl under a commercial vehicle and pop open the hood while learning about safety inspections.”

Troopers say that the students are taking part in a “first-of-its-kind class at their school, which will allow them to earn a commercial driver’s license when they graduate.”

Troopers at the weigh station gave the students hands-on training.

MSP also emphasized the importance of CMV inspections to overall highway safety.
