Vermont State Police (VSP) arrested a New Hampshire juvenile on Wednesday morning for allegedly stealing a truck and later a trailer.
VSP says that an unnamed seventeen year old is facing charges of Grand Larceny, Possession of Stolen Property, and Aggravated Operating Without Owner’s Consent.
Troopers say that around 6:30 a.m. on September 13, they were contacted by the Lebanon, NH, Police Department regarding a stolen commercial vehicle.
VSP’s Berlin Barracks were able to track the stolen truck and an attached stolen trailer to the Waterbury I-89 south rest area. They located the seventeen year old inside the truck and placed him under arrest without further incident.
Investigators later learned that the truck had been stolen on September 12 out of Lebanon. The suspect drove the truck to a location in St. Albans, Vermont, and hooked the truck up to a trailer. The suspect then drove the stolen truck and trailer to the Waterbury rest area where he was located and arrested.
