Texas interstate closed for fatal tanker crash

Transportation officials in Texas closed both directions of I-14 on Monday morning for a multi-vehicle collision involving a tanker truck.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Monday, April 24, in Nolanville, Texas.

Four vehicles including a tanker truck collided on I-14, resulting in a major vehicle fire.

KCENTV reports that the tanker driver did not survive.

There is no word from officials about other injuries.

According to the Belton Police Department, both directions of I-14 are closed and drivers are asked to seek alternate routes. The closure is expected to last most of the day.
