Tractor trailer throws two men into street after striking working bucket truck

One man is in critical condition after a tractor trailer collided with a bucket truck, sending two men flying into the street. 

The accident happened on Tuesday, January 31st at 2:26 p.m. in Troy, Alabama in the 100 block of North 3 Notch Street. 

Troy Police report that witnesses say two men were working on a building in a bucket lift when a passing semi truck hit the bucket truck, throwing the two men from the bucket and onto the road below. 

The semi truck then continued south on North 3 Notch Street but officers eventually located the rig on Henderson Highway and brought it to a stop, reported WDHN.

The two men thrown from the bucket truck were transported to a nearby hospital where they were treated for their injuries. One of the men was released the same day, while the other remains hospitalized in critical condition. 

No charges have been filed and the investigation is still ongoing.
