Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) traffic cameras captured a major truck explosion on Monday morning in Columbus.
The crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. on May 29 in the eastbound lanes of I-70 on the west side of Columbus.
An eastbound tractor trailer struck a concrete barrier, resulting in an explosion.
Remarkably, the truck driver was able to make it out of the cab following the crash.
Officials say that the truck driver was hospitalized for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
I-70 east was closed for about eight hours on Monday following the crash.
