Troopers say a road rager disabled a big rig by shooting into the engine compartment

The New Jersey State Police (NJSP) are seeking a motorist who allegedly disabled a big rig by shooting into the engine compartment last week.

The road rage incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on Friday, December 15, in Readington Township, New Jersey.

NJSP says that a tractor trailer was traveling on eastbound I-78 at mile marker 23.6 when a road rage incident occurred.

Troopers say that a white Dodge Ram pickup truck with dual rear tires and black lettering displaying business and DOT numbers on the passenger side pulled up next to the tractor-trailer driver.

At least one shot was fired through the passenger side window, which struck the truck’s engine compartment and caused the vehicle to become disabled.

NJSP is asking for any witnesses to contact NJSP Troop “B” Perryville Station – Criminal Investigation Office at 908-730-7042 or email DSG. Sanchis at lpp7150@njsp.org and Det. II Sullivan at lpp7699@njsp.org.
