Truck driver arrested on suspicion of DUI following crash that completely blocked SR 167

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says that a truck driver was arrested on Friday following a crash that caused major traffic delays in Algona.

The crash occurred around 1 p.m. on March 17 on SR 167 at mile marker 13.

Troopers say that a pickup and a semi truck collided in the northbound lanes of the highway.

The semi truck came to a stop blocking all lanes of northbound SR 167.

Four people were taken to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Following an investigation into the crash, WSP Trooper Rick Johnson announced that the “driver of the semi has been placed into custody for suspicion of DUI.”
