Truck driver has been missing out of Maryland since June, his truck found abandoned

Published:

Maryland State Police (MSP) are asking for public help in locating a truck driver who went missing in June after stopping at a distribution center.

Maryland troopers are searching for 42 year old Pennsylvania-based truck driver Jason Pearson.

MSP says that Pearson was last seen at midnight on June 13 near the Smithfield Food Distribution Center in the 2800 block of Principio Parkway East in North East, Maryland.

Police say that Pearson’s semi truck was found abandoned near the Smithfield Food facility.

According to local news outlet Cecil Whig, Pearson’s wife reported that her husband left behind his cell phones, truck keys, wallet, bank cards, and credit cards in the abandoned truck.

Pearson is 5 feet, 8 inches and weighs 237 pounds. He has brown eyes, black hair, and was last seen wearing his hair in cornrow braids.

In a September 1 news release, Maryland State Police called Pearson’s disappearance “suspicious.”

If you have any information, you’re asked to call Maryland State Police North East Barrack at 410-996-7800.
