Trucker and passenger ejected and killed after striking disabled semi on South Carolina interstate

Two people lost their lives in a two truck collision in Anderson County, South Carolina, on Sunday.

The crash occurred around 2 a.m. on August 6 on I-85 at mile marker 22.

Officials say truck driver Tracina Yvette Young, 47, and passenger Frederick Leorande Styles, 51, were hauling a load of toilet paper northbound on I-85 when they struck the rear of a second semi truck that was disabled due to mechanical issues.

Both Young and Styles were ejected and died at the scene.

The news has caused an outpouring of reactions from social media users who were stunned to hear of the couple’s passing.
