Published:

A truck driver recently killed in a wreck with an RV is being remembered fondly by his family this week.

James Shade died on Interstate 81 in Pennsylvania on August 9th after an RV blew a tire and smashed through a cable barrier before colliding with his semi truck. A dog and four people inside of the RV were also killed in the accident.

James, otherwise known as Jimmy, was a trucker, hunter, collector, husband, and father.

“He was a loving husband and father. We were married for 24 years. He was a big John Wayne fan and collector along with antiques,” his wife, Ericka, said to Local 21.

James was described as the life of the party, and was a member of the Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ericka (Lloyd) Shade; sons, Alexander Shade, and Conner Shade; daughter, Deanna Shade; and a brother, Johnny Shade, Jr. He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Johnny Shade Jr.

A gathering for friends of James will be held on Monday evening. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning with Pastor John Woullard of the Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church officiating.
