Trucker sustains major injuries in fiery double fatality crash in Dallas

A truck driver was seriously injured in a fiery double fatality crash in Dallas, Texas, over the weekend.

The crash occurred around 3 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, on Highway 310 at Great Trinity Forest Way, Fox 4 reports.

Officials say that a crash occurred involving a passenger vehicle and a semi truck.

The crash resulted in a vehicle fire.

The two people inside the car died at the scene.

Police are investigating whether the car was driving the wrong way when the crash occurred, according to the report.

The truck driver, who has been identified by family members as Joe Denney, suffered serious injuries in the crash and is currently in the ICU in Dallas.

Joe Denney is a well-known figure in the online trucking community. He was a leader of the Black Smoke Matters group when it organized several demonstrations in 2019 to protest the overregulation of the trucking industry.

A GoFundMe for Denney has already raised more than half of its $20,000 goal.

Denney’s daughter Casey VanStorey is providing frequent updates on his condition.
