Truckers get free lunch at California weigh station on Tuesday

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that truckers get free lunch at an I-10 weigh station facility on Tuesday.

CHP – Desert Hills Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility is hosting a truck driver appreciation event at the Banning Scales located at 47250 I-10 in Banning, California, on Tuesday, October 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to free lunch, truckers can enjoy the following:

  • Industry displays
  • Vendor booths
  • CHP canine demonstrations
  • CHP air operations demonstrations
  • Truck/trailer exhibits
  • CHP mobile command center
  • First responders

“The life of a truck driver is not easy, but it can also be rewarding and fulfilling for those who enjoy driving, traveling, and exploring new places. Truck drivers have a unique perspective on the world, as they witness the diversity and beauty of nature and culture. They also have a sense of pride and accomplishment in their work, as they know they are making a difference in people’s lives,” CHP said.
