Two truckers hospitalized after truck axle detaches

Two drivers were hospitalized after an axle came off of a third rig on Interstate 35 on Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred on  July 11th at around 6 p.m. near Topeka, Kansas on northbound I-35.

According to 12 WIBW, 45-year-old truck driver Abdikarim F. Guliad was heading north on I-35 when the rig lost an axle, causing Guliad to lose control of the rig.
