Unmanned semi truck smashes into home all by itself

An unmanned semi truck smashed into the side of a house all on its own on Friday morning. 

The incident occurred on June 2nd near Melbourne, Australia. 

According to 9 News, the empty flatbed truck was parked on top of a hill on North Valley Road in Highton when it began to roll. As it rolled, the truck crashed into a car and then hopped a curb. The truck then almost hit a tree before smashing into the front bedroom of a house on Mont D’or Parade.

The family was home at the time of the incident, but no one was hurt in the crash. The 61-year-old trucker was not inside of the truck when it rolled, but was able to speak with police investigating the incident. 

The home sustained significant structural damage. No further information has been released.
