VIDEO: Box truck driver zooms past 10’10” signs moments before can opener crash

A motorist caught video of a can opener crash in Tennessee.

The video was captured in July 2023 at a railroad bridge dubbed “The Carters Creek Can Opener” in Carter, Tennessee. The video was shared by Carters Creek Restorations.

In the video, a moving box truck whips past two bright yellow signs warning that the bridge clearance height is ten feet, ten inches, only to strike the railroad bridge a moment later. The crash peeled the roof off of the vehicle.
