VIDEO: Couple’s luxury big rig mobile home has a staircase, solar panels, and a ‘movie theater’ for two

Published:

A Canadian couple with an interest in nomadic living spent years converting a commercial truck and a trailer into a surprisingly luxe mobile home.

The couple’s “Nomad Monster Home” consists of a 2004 Volvo VNL attached to a trailer. The vehicle measures 75 feet in length, 8 and a half feet in width, and stands 14 and a half feet tall. However, there’s an ingenious roof-lowering feature that can get the truck to 13 and a half feet with the push of a button and a little elbow grease.

The vehicle was converted from a commercial vehicle to a mobile home and gets about 7 miles to the gallon.

Other features include solar panels on the roof of the trailer to keep the couple “off the grid” and storage for a motorcycle and jet ski.

Inside the living area, there’s a large kitchen well equipped with appliances.

You can ascend a spiral staircase to access a “movie theater” for two-style home theater.

The tiny home also features a bathroom, laundry facilities, lots of closet storage, and a library.
