When a semi truck overturned in Chicago last week, a local lawmaker was on hand to help get the truck driver out of the wrecked vehicle.
The video was captured at 79th and Kedzie in Chicago on Friday, August 11.
In the video, you can see State Senator Willie Preston using a tool to break out the truck’s windshield and then pull it up to allow the truck driver inside to get free from the smoking vehicle.
“As a community, when we see someone in distress I encourage us to help, not just record,” Preston said.
