VIDEO: Large quantity of fireworks ignited after semi rear-ended pickup

A large quantity of fireworks went off in British Columbia last night following a semi truck vs. pickup crash.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on October 26 on Highway 1 near Hope, B.C.

CTV News reports that a pickup hauling fireworks on a trailer was pulled off on the side of the highway when it was struck from behind by a semi truck.

The crash ignited the fireworks.

The pickup caught fire and is a total loss.

One of the drivers involved suffered a minor injury

The incident is still under investigation.
