The Oregon State Police (OSP) shared a trucker’s jarring dash cam video that captured a motorhome crash on I-84 last week.
The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on May 5, 2023, in Pendleton.
OSP says that motorhome driver Michael D. Battle, 35, from Virginia, attempted an unsafe lane change in front of a semi truck on westbound I-84 at mile marker 177.
The motorhome struck the semi truck during the pass attempt, causing the driver to lose control. The motorhome overturned and came to a stop off the interstate.
Battle, Leah Suzensky, 40, and three juveniles in the motor home suffered minor injuries.
Truck driver Brian Turman Poarch, 44, was not hurt.
Elkhorn Media Group reports that Battle was ticketed for an unlawful lane change.
