VIDEO: People dance on top of semi truck amid wild celebration in Shreveport

Published:

Videos shared on social media show a semi truck caught up in a street party in Louisiana over the weekend.

Local outlet KTBS reports that the videos were captured in downtown Shreveport near Travis Street as people apparently blocked the roadway and climbed on top of vehicles late Friday, May 5 into Saturday, May 6.

Shreveport City Councilman Grayson Boucher shared videos from the scene, confirming that they took place in the city’s downtown area and asking police and other city officials to act to stop the behavior captured in the videos.

It’s time for the Mayor and the Police Chief to enforce the noice ordinances that have been the root of this issues for months. It’s time for the fire chief and fire marshal to enforce occupancy ordinances in these bars. Come on. We can do better than this. I’ve contacted Chief Smith more than once about this disgraceful behavior. Not a dang thing has been done. It’s time to get this crap under control. Everyone of these people in the street should have been arrested for blocking a state highway,” Boucher said.
