A truck driver’s dash cam captured a sudden and scary close call with a pickup truck.
The video was captured in Cary, North Carolina, and shared by TikTok user @chris_g98 on April 28. It has since then been viewed more than 2.2 million times.
In the video, a Baker Roofing Company pickup driver experiences a blowout on the back right tire. The pickup driver loses control and drives off the road into a grassy area, then manages to make it back to the roadway. The pickup finally comes to a stop blocking the right shoulder and the right lane, but the dash cammer is able to bring his truck to a safe stop and avoid a crash.
“Thanks to our driver’s quick reaction to his tire blowout, and your awareness and defensive driving, everyone is okay and no one was hurt. Drive safe!” Baker Roofing Company said.
