Video shows school bus pulling out in front of truck prior to T-bone crash in South Carolina

Surveillance video captured a truck vs. school bus crash that left more than a dozen students injured on Thursday.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. on May 25 near Gilbert, South Carolina.

A school bus hauling 36 passengers was struck by an oncoming truck at an intersection. The truck struck the side of the bus at a high rate of speed, causing it to swing onto the roadway.

According to multiple reports, seventeen students and one adult were hospitalized.

Resident Kailyn Parker shared video of the collision, writing, “This is the footage from our shop. Bus pulled out right in front of the tanker truck. Tanker driver tried his very best to stop but he was just too close. But he tried.”

The crash remains under investigation.
