This video captures the moment that the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) demolished the Rocheport Bridge over the weekend.
The bridge is located near Columbia, Missouri, and carries I-70 over the Missouri River.
After 63 years of use, the bridge was destroyed on the morning of September 10 to make way for a new I-70 bridge.
The demolition event drew a large crowd. Event attendee Malcolm Smith told local outlet KOMU, “This is once in a lifetime. This bridge has been there, my whole life. So, it will be really interesting to watch.”
