Australian transportation authorities say that they’ve completed a successful on-road trial of the double-stacked container transport combination.
Video shared this week by Australia’s National Heavy Vehicle Regulator gives viewers a quick glimpse at a truck hauling a double-stacked container load as part of a road test.
“This innovative combination will significantly increase productivity even over the existing very efficient Super-B and PBS A-doubles currently in operation as this vehicle is designed to move 4 forty-foot or 8 empty twenty-foot shipping containers at a time, stacked to an impressive height of over 7 meters,” the NHVR said.
