Virginia cops accuse man of stealing $20,000 worth of diesel from a 7-Eleven

A Florida man is facing multiple charges in Virginia for allegedly stealing $20,000 worth of diesel from a 7-Eleven store in Prince George.

According to the Prince George County Police Department, Pablo Navarro was arrested on November 14 and charged with twenty-one crimes, including three counts of Grand Larceny (Felony), seven counts of Tampering with Fuel Pump (Felony), seven counts of Vandalism (Misdemeanor), and four counts of Petit Larceny (Misdemeanor).

Police say that the arrest of Navarro is linked to six incidents of diesel fuel theft from the 7-Eleven with losses in excess of $20,000.

“The investigation revealed Navarro illegally meddled with parts inside the fuel dispenser to steal diesel fuel. The meddling of the fuel dispenser changed the pulsar, which reads how many gallons and how many dollars the fuel costs,” police said in a news release.

Police say that the investigation is ongoing and that additional charges could be filed.

“Fuel Thieves Beware…Businesses and Police are on to you! If caught, we will be looking to send any, and all relevant charges your way. Your big-rig/truck/vehicle, and contents, could also be in jeopardy,” the Prince George County Police Department warned.
