A Wyoming Trooper narrowly avoided serious injury from an out-of-control semi truck in this dash cam video.
The video was posted to Facebook by the Wyoming Highway Patrol on Tuesday and describes the incident as occurring only “recently” on Interstate 80 near Rawlins.
Wyoming Highway Patrol reports that the truck driver was unable to maintain control of his vehicle on I-80 as a trooper made his way back to his patrol car after attending to another motorist. As the trooper was walking back to his vehicle, the truck driver began losing control and moved onto the snowy median. The officer then managed to skitter out of the way just as the truck skidded past.
“Move over and slow down for emergency vehicles! One of our WHP Troopers nearly got hit by a commercial semi-tractor and trailer recently,” WHP wrote in the post.
“Luckily, no law enforcement or first responders lost their lives to this out-of-control vehicle.
Please remember that emergency personnel wants to be able to make it home safely at the end of their shift. Please slow down, and move over for emergency vehicles.”
