Police in Wisconsin took to Facebook on Tuesday to issue a reminder to truck drivers about driving into flood waters.
On May 2, the Prairie du Chien Police Department wrote:
“So, you think you’re having a bad day? Do NOT drive around barricades and road closed signs. Do NOT try to drive through flood water. Your day will only get worse.“
Police also shared photos of the truck surrounded by deep water.
In just a couple of hours, the post has been shared nearly 700 times and garnered more than 100 comments.
“You shouldn’t always listen to the GPS…turn around don’t drown!” said one Facebook user.
“Honestly… was the line at the truck wash that long?” another person quipped.
“There was a reason for the sign,” another Facebook user pointed out.
