WSP escorts truck off interstate for trailer collapsed under weight of snow

Published:

A semi truck was escorted off of a Wisconsin Interstate recently for serious trailer damage.

The incident was posted on the Wisconsin State Patrol Facebook page on Tuesday, February 21st and occurred on Interstate 39 near Wausau.

Officers noticed the rig traveling with a collapsed trailer roof and pulled the driver over. Troopers then escorted the truck off of the interstate for further inspection.

Officers quickly placed the trailer out of service for the compromised trailer frame. They believe the collapse was caused by the weight of snow and ice sitting on the trailer roof.

No additional information was provided.
