“Zigzagging” motorist caught with cocaine in fake pregnant belly after nearly slamming into semi

Published:

A couple was caught attempting to smuggle cocaine in a prosthetic pregnant belly after nearly crashing into a semi truck last month.

The couple was caught on April 12th in Anderson County, South Carolina after they were pulled over for “zigzagging in between lanes” and nearly hitting a semi truck, an Anderson County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman told VICE News.

Anthony Miller and Cemeke Mitchem, who appeared to be pregnant, then “gave conflicting information about her due date” during the police investigation, causing police to become suspicious.

“As Mitchem realized deputies were becoming more suspicious of her conflicting story, Mitchem immediately took off running and very quickly drugs fell from the fake rubber stomach,” police said.

More than 1,500 grams of cocaine was recovered from the scene, and Miller and Mitchem are facing trafficking charges for over 400 grams of cocaine. Both are still in custody.
