11 vehicles damaged after CMV loses driveshaft on I-10

A semi truck lost its driveshaft on a Florida interstate on Saturday night, causing damage to multiple vehicles. 

The breakdown occurred on Saturday, November 23rd at around 9:40 p.m. in Holmes County, Florida. 

According to WJHG, the tractor trailer was heading east on Interstate 10 near mile marker 114 when the driveshaft on the semi truck broke off, landing in the roadway. 11 cars then struck the part, damaging all 11 of them as they hit it. 

The tractor trailer was able to safely pull over onto the shoulder of the roadway, and no motorists were hurt. The 41-year-old trucker from Fort Stockton, Texas was also uninjured.
