Thirteen people were hurt when a semi truck crashed into a bus full of military personnel on the New Jersey Turnpike on Wednesday.
The accident happened on November 13th in Runnemede, New Jersey on the NJ Turnpike at around 1 p.m. just south of Interchange 3.
According to 6ABC, the bus was transporting military personnel when it broke down straddling the right and breakdown lanes of the road.A semi truck then crashed into the back of the bus, seriously damaging the front end of the rig and injuring 13 people.Â
One person in uniform was seen being taken away on a stretcher, reported NBC Philadelphia. The truck driver was one of the 13 people hurt in the crash. Details on injuries have not been released.Â
The crash caused backups that stretched as far back as one mile. The accident is still under investigation.
