Eastbound Interstate 70 in Colorado was shut down on Thursday afternoon due to a stalled, smoking semi truck.
The incident happened on October 3rd on I-70 eastbound near the Colorado Mills Parkway near Golden Colorado.
According to 9 News, the tractor trailer caught fire after the driver rode the brakes down I-70 in the foothills. The burning truck then forced the temporary closure of I-70.

The roadway has since been reopened.
