Arizona and California troopers team up to stop stolen semi loaded with $2 million in electronics

Published:

Arizona and California troopers worked together to apprehend multiple suspects in a major electronics cargo theft attempt.

According to a report from AZ Family, three people were arrested early on Wednesday, January 24, along I-10 in the West Valley.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) was contacted by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) about a stolen semi truck headed toward Arizona.

CHP was monitoring a GPS tracker on the stolen truck loaded with $2 million in Samsung electronics, and they asked Arizona troopers to be on the lookout when the truck crossed state lines.

According to the report, AZDPS staged units along I-10 and then performed a traffic stop on the truck at the Loop 202 South Mountain interchange.

Three people were detained around 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
