North Carolina police say at least 5 people were killed in a crash on I-95 in Wilson County on Wednesday.
The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. on July 24 on I-95 near Kenly.
According to ABC 11, two passenger vehicles and two tractor trailers were involved in a crash in the northbound lanes of I-95.
Images captured at the scene show one of the trucks off the roadway near a wooded area and one of the trucks destroyed by fire.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reports five dead in the crash.
Traffic backups up to five miles have been reported.
All lanes of northbound I-95 are expected to remain closed through 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
The I-95 North fatal crash outside Wilson involves multiple tractor-trailers. The highway is closed at Exit 107. Estimated reopening is 11 tonight.
