A bicyclist is dead after crashing into a tractor trailer parked in South Carolina last week.
The accident happened on Wednesday, February 14th, in Horry County, South Carolina. The identity of the man on the bicycle was not released until February 20th.
According to WBTW, 82-year-old John Farr was riding his bike in the Augusta Plantation area on Valentine’s Day when he crashed into a parked tractor trailer. The collision left Farr with serious injuries, and he was transported to Grand Strand Medical Center.
Farr was hospitalized for five days before succumbing to his injuries.
South Carolina Highway Patrol says that the semi truck was parked legally when the 82-year-old crashed into it. No further information has been released.
