Biden’s trucking tale is back in play

Biden’s trucking tale is back after a statement he made at an event in Florida on Tuesday.

President Biden was at a campaign event at the Hillsborough Community College, Dale Mabry Campus in Tampa, Florida on April 23rd when a supporter praised him for a $36 billion aid package that prevented pension cuts for union workers.

“The only reason I have a pension is because of you,” the supporter said, to which Biden replied “Well, we did get that done. Anyway. Besides, I used to drive an 18-wheeler.”

This is the third time that Biden’s trucking tale has surfaced through claims that he drove semi trucks, or at least rode along in one for an extended period of time. Back in 2021, he claimed that “I used to drive a tractor-trailer. I know a little bit about big trucks.”

The White House has since stated that Biden once had a job driving school buses, and once spent a night in a tractor trailer as a US Senator back in 1973. There is no evidence that he has ever operated a tractor trailer.
