Big rig smashes into tollbooth in Pennsylvania, causing ‘considerable damage’

Pennsylvania police are investigating after a semi truck collided with a tollbooth on Thursday night.

The crash occurred shortly before 7 p.m. on December 19 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

According to the Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department (CTVFD) a tractor trailer crashed into a toll both on I-376 at the Chippewa Interchange.

Firefighters said that the crash caused “considerable damage … to both the vehicle and the structure.”

The truck driver and his service dog were transported to a hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash.
