‘New bumper please!’ CHP says semi truck rolled back into cruiser during traffic stop

Published:

An already bad day took a worse turn when a semi truck rolled into a California Highway Patrol (CHP) cruiser during a traffic stop.

According to a social media post shared by CHP – Truckee on October 23, an ordinary traffic stop ended in bumper damage for a police cruiser when the truck driver reportedly failed to set their brakes.

“Well, this is one way to make sure the officer remembers you… ‘License, registration, and a new bumper, please!’ Glad no one was hurt, but always remember to put your vehicle in park, especially if you get pulled over,” CHP said.

The post was also accompanied by video of the crash aftermath, which you can view below.
