According to a June 18 statement from WSP District 8 Trooper Katherine Weatherwax, a major load securement violation was recently discovered.
“This vehicle was stopped for a cell phone violation, and upon inspection did not have his excavator secured by any means, nor was the emergency braking system attached,” said Trooper Weatherwax.
Three citations totaling $527 were issued as a result of the traffic stop.
WSP Commerical Vehicle Enforcement Officers are emphasizing load securement violations in June.
Our CVEOs have been working diligently focusing on load securement during this month’s emphasis.
