Country music star Toby Keith dies at 62

Popular country music star Toby Keith has passed away after a years-long battle with cancer.

According to a statement released on the singer’s website, Keith passed away at his home peacefully on the night of February 5, surrounded by family. He was 62 years old.

“He fought his fight with grace and courage,” the statement read.

Keith was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2021 and shared his cancer diagnosis publicly in 2022.

Keith had a long and successful career in country music with hits like “Beer for My Horses,” “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” “Red Solo Cup,” and “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.”
